A Little Bit About Me...

After 29 years of teaching, I retired from the Public School System in May 2010. During my career I taught first, fourth, and sixth grades in the regular classroom. I also taught Developmental Kindergarten. Before I retired, I was the sole Gifted Education K-8 teacher for my school district. I currently am employed in this same position on a part-time basis. As a teacher I have had much experience in after-school tutoring in various subjects at the elementary level. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught Special Education for the last 12 years from grades k-12. I have four years experience in High School, seven years in elementary and one year as a special education director. I have also tutored students in high school (one year), taught private kindergarter (one year) and I was director of a Day care for 2 years. I earned my Bachelors degree when my children were small (all under the age of 7) and I continued on with classes starting in 2001 until I received my Masters Degree in Special Education. I have extensive training in teaching math, reading and phonics.
