Experienced Math Tutor (Ph.D. in Engineering)

I have vast experience tutoring at both the high-school and college levels. I have previously been hired by Rutgers University, NJ as a tutor for the Executive MBA program in Newark. I also, as a part of my PhD degree, taught a college level class called Statics for two semester. My teaching evaluation was roughly 4.5/5.
I can teach in both lecture style (time consuming) or review style. In lecture style, I prepare notes on topics provided to me before meeting and present these notes with sufficient number of examples. Then I have the student work on problems to gauge his/her understanding. In review style, I concentrate on reviewing problems with the student.

I think it is important for students to see the big picture when learning a topic. My goal is to make sure that students understand the principles regarding a particular topic, and then they are better able to solve individual problems.
