A Little Bit About Me...

I prefer to use materials that students have been given in their classroom (textbooks, homework, study guides, notes) and provide additional explanation and examples. I always ask students which areas they would like to go over most importantly. I ask them to try an example problem with me, and then one without me until they feel confident in their ability to solve that type of math problem and its concepts.

I am a recent graduate from a liberal arts college which has allowed me the opportunity to be immersed in a variety of subjects. I graduated with a BA in Honors Mathematics and a BA in Physics and am going to continue my education to pursue a PhD in Computational and Systems Biology. These experiences have allowed me to gain expertise in the areas of math and the sciences. Besides that I have been involved in several research projects and have had my work published. Thus, my experiences have allowed me to gain strength in both technical writings and writings in other subject areas.
