I have always been passionate about science, especially chemistry. My teaching experience began almost as soon as my higher education did, beginning as a Red Cross CPR instructor and then a volunteer tutor while an undergraduate. After earning my bachelor's degree, I worked with trouble youth. A desire to extend my learning led me to seek a Master's degree while working as a public school teacher. I continued with my goal to earn a doctoral degree and extended my teaching experience to the college level.
