I have experience working with students who are advanced and seeking supplementary tutoring as well as with students who are having difficulty with a subject. I have tutored mathematics as well as chemistry, biology, physics, and other subjects. I have tutored students from a range of ages and I worked with my first student over four years ago while I was in college. I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area.

I have worked with both adult and young adult learners for over 10 years. I was an instructor at Metro Comm. College for over 15 years in which I taught math and lang. arts. to students studying for their GED. I worked for a tutoring company in Omaha for over 6 years before deciding to open my own company. I taught lanquage arts for an Omaha school system for a number of years grades 7-12. I have substituted for Ralston Schools for over 10 years here and there.

In college I pursued a bachelor degree in Biology and was president of molecular/mircobiology club and was an anatomy, organic chemistry, and physics tutor. As an undergraduate I was able to be involved in forensic DNA research. After graduating I entered medical school where I have pursued research interests in pediatric infectious diseases, and middle ear dysfunction.
