My comments on tutoring Saxophone : I am a classically trained saxophonist, fluent on alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone. I have been teaching private lessons for the past four years and am currently the baritone saxophonist for the Real Time Sax Quartet.

I have been playing saxophone for 15 years and have played in a variety of large and small ensembles at all levels including: Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and various select chamber ensembles. I have also done extensive solo work performing a vast array of saxophone literature at many different levels and locations. I have played/taught primarily locally in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York giving private lessons/performances in addition to high school and collegiate master classes. I have also performed numerous times in saxophone conferences held in both Virginia and Georgia. In 2010 my saxophone quartet was awarded a grant by the University of Connecticut to play in both England and the Netherlands. A Little Bit About Me...

I like to get to the point of certain problems, such as reading the child/student when I see them, ask them some questions about the subjects they need help in and why they need help. I have worked with Infants-School age for over 5 years, and enjoy being there to help someone in need. I believe in giving back, because so many of us are blessed already.
As an early childhood teacher, I have had several opportunities to help children (school age), to do homework. I also was a tutor in high school to a boy for just Algebra, which then turned around to being all of his subjects and helping him keep on track. The hardest thing for me was that he had only lived in the U.S. for four years, and had trouble speaking English. After each session of tutoring, I would grab the Scrabble board, which encouraged him to use more words, learn new words, and have fun while doing so.
