Following the reduction in force made necessary by budgetary constraints, I taught for ten years at the Crystal Springs School in Assonet, MA as a Special Needs teacher. While rewarding, I missed the challenge of more literary pursuits and began teaching evening classes at a local communuity-based organization. Talking with students and analyzing their work samples determines their needs. I ask students to complete a "multiple intelligence" survey to determine their learning strengths. In designing delivery of services I incorporate specific strategies to complement their learning styles.
