My comments on tutoring Anatomy : Based on my background and skills, I am very excited about teaching biology courses for all levels of students.

Teaching allows me to fulfill what I believe to be a fundamental responsibility of biologists: to communicate information to the public so they can make informed decisions regarding the animal sciences. There are basic biological principles that should be understood by college-educated citizens. Among these are the process of animal sciences and a basic understanding of physiology, the interdependence of biological systems, levels of organization in biology, basic human anatomy and physiology, and the basics of scientific decision-making. As I graduated with an honors bachelor’s degree in Biology, I started working at my university as an academic tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that each student has their own style of learning and soak up information differently then other students. I myself like to learn visually and hands on. I have tried many styles of learning to see what works for me. I record lectures, take my own notes, like to question myself while I'm studying for a test. I think connecting something to something you already know will help you retain that new information very well. I love working with children. I have 3 of my own and I am currently studying for a Master of Science in Higher Education so that I can teach. I would love to teach college courses, but my main focus is teaching elementary students. I think it would be easier for me to tutor younger kids versus high shcool children. Even though that's where my experience is at, I just love working with smaller kids. I've volunteered at preschools and kindergarten classes and I absolutely love to work with them.
