My comments on tutoring Algebra : We have both online and Austin area in-home tutors for math. Each has either a science degree that involved math up to Calculus or higher, or a math Degree. Some are also Certified Math teachers too. Call us to ask about the exact teacher in your area and their skills specifically. If we do not have one, we can provide one within a reasonable time. Thanks.

A Little Bit About Me...

My preferred method of teaching is hands-on, through real experiments. Unfortunately, experiments cannot always be done, so I use lots of illustrations and age-appropriate analogies that are easy to relate to. Many times students are convinced that science is a subject too difficult to conquer, that they must just survive it, but science is all around us. I strive for that "a-ha" moment when a student realizes that all biological and physiological processes are interrelated and that the trick to understanding science is to build on previously learned concepts. I believe that teaching solid fundamentals and relating more difficult topics to already learned information is key to helping students thoroughly understand the subject.
Throughout my undergraduate years, I was recognized as an outstanding student and held the maximum number of teaching assistant positions every semester ... read more
