I enjoy teaching and believe that all students can learn. There are many ways to interest them; and with technology, all students will research and work with language and culture. I have had great success with students on a one-to-one basis. In language learning, some students have needed out-of-class time to work privately with me. I have also advised students and interested them in doing projects for club activities.
I am a pursuer of hard work and performance. I have a double major and a singular bachelor degrees and a master's in literacy as language is very important to me. After graduating from high school as valedictorian, I earned a Zoology BS and a Studio Art BA from SUNY Oswego, successfully completing English composition, speech, visual arts, biology, zoology, chemistry, Spanish, and calculus II courses, and graduated with a 3.76 GPA. Prior, I had taken and earned over a 90% in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and AP calculus. While completing an MFA from WCSU, I began 3 years of service as a tutor with NY GEAR UP of The Research Foundation of SUNY, providing academic assistance to students, grades 9-12th in core and non-core subjects, as well as Regents, SAT, and ACT exam prep. A Little Bit About Me...

I received my Bachelor's degree in 1989 and worked as an assistant engineer in Binghamton NY until I started my masters program at SUNY Cortland. I have held Physics, Earth science, Chemistry and Biology appointments in the years that followed in a variety of School districts throughout the state. I have spent five years tutoring and 17 teaching, including 12 years of summer school. The best thing about teaching and tutoring science is that it easily transfers to all of the other disciplines. My experiences and my insatiable appetite for learning have enabled me to make significant connections across the disciplines and to keep on learning!
