I have had a lot of past experience when it comes to tutoring. I have tutored many people of various ages from children all the way to college students, relatively. My comments on tutoring Sociology : I have studied sociology and can teach the subject.

I learn visually and by reading the subject materials. I teach by showing students what they need to know by reading and using visual aids in my teaching style. I incorporate technology in my teaching because some students are hands on. I teach students in groups and individually.

In order to learn something, take something in and understand it, one must have something already to attach it to in their minds. I do not have a specific style of teaching for each student. Each student has their different way of learning. I would start out trying several ways, such as; visual, hearing, physical etc and see what the student is most comfortable with and which one is most likely to educate the child in a way that the student will remember the information while struggling the least.
I have tutored students individually at school, but a tutor needs to start somewhere or will never get experience. I have always helped fellow students with homework by explicitly explaining answers when they are asked or at least triggering their minds to what they need to learn. I am anxious to teach middle school aged kids as it will be a fun experience and I have always thought about teaching kids, because we all need to have the opportunity to an education.
