The goal of my approach is to enable students to have a level of ownership in learning concepts and ideas. Merely teaching the idea is not enough, and that "Oh, I see" moment must occur to embed the idea for long-term growth. I enjoy relating the ideas and facts to real world examples that almost anyone can grasp.
For a period of five years, I offered tutoring services to students at the University of Chapel Hill, Duke University, and North Carolina State University. I attended National University and earned a teaching certificate. I worked in a junior college in San Diego as a tutor in math, English, reading, and social studies.
