Although I have little teaching experience, I love working with all ages of people. I was taught to teach by "Socratic Method" which is possibly the best way to teach/tutor. I ask many questions to check the students responsiveness and understanding of key areas of the topics including a reinforcing of the ideas being learned. I cannot count how many students I have had come in frustrated and confused and then quickly answer questions that were simple and built up to understanding harder ideas by the end of a session. And the best award of all is seeing joy and elation that they have a good chance of getting a high grade after learning material. "Socratic Method" is the best proof a tutor can see that a student is learning and has learned what they have been taught.

I review the work with the student and explain the process. I encourage them to take notes and write things out. We talk through the assignment and I let them explain to me why they are doing what they are. If it isn't the correct answer to the problem, we review the material again and go over why it isn't correct.
