I love to educate children of many ages I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old in the house. You teach many different aspects of life, not just academically. Being a tutor for grades 6-8 was different because they had the basics. They needed to be informed and focused. Substitute teaching grades K-8 was rather different because the children acted as though they haven't learned anything, so you had to make them feel comfortable. I try to highlight a students strengths and build solid study habits and work patterns. For instance, if a student has trouble focusing on his/her work, I try to push them for short periods of intense study, and then reward them with a break. Since my first degree was completed through an integrated, online program, I stress organizational skills.
