As a classroom teacher, I enjoy engaging students in the learning process. Private tutoring offers a customized approach to your child's education. My comments on tutoring Elementary Grammar : I am very well versed in grammar. I studied languages and this helped me a lot with English grammar. I studied grammar in high school and college English courses. I taught grammar for over 40 years.

Phonics/Reading teacher certified in the Montessori Method

I'm a certified Montessori teacher having completed 500 hours supervised teaching. I've worked 11 years with children 1 1/2-3, and 3-6 teaching phonics,reading, and independence. My style is casual using objects and pictures to reinforce beginning sounds. Once the child has learned as few as three sounds, we are able to start reading words. And to do that, you have to Know your student - his/her learning process.
