German is one of my top subjects! Hi, my name is Evelin and I am a native German speaker and trained teacher for German as a foreign language. I provide excellent German lessons for all age groups, proficiency levels and focus points (e.g. business German, holiday German, conversational German, ...) in your preferred surroundings. I am a certified German and English teacher with a university degree and 10 years of teaching experience in online teaching, tutoring and classroom teaching. I have a very unique and simplified way of explaining grammar and making you feel confident speaking German after the very first lesson. I pick learning material appropriate to your learning style and interests, and provide several first-hand insights to German culture, food and people. We will look at grammar, read authentic texts, discuss stereotypes, learn idioms and listen to authentic German audios.

I personally consider my teaching style as "holistic" or alternative. My philosophy and experience has shown me that every learner is different and has his/ her individual needs. Some are better at grammar, some are way better at talking, ... My idea is to meet you where you are and guide you from there. In our first lesson, I will try to get to know your personal background, if you have ever learned German before, your motivation and learning preferences. I take pride in my writing skills in the face of a field riddled with nurses who prefer abbreviations to beautifully executed coherent sentences. The sheer eloquence of being able to deliver a report allowing the reader to infer the true meaning of your words, while not providing any statements that will give fuel to a legal representative is a time-earned skill. In addition to my writing skills, I have 14 years of business skills, extensive analytical skills, which transfer into expertise in geometry, and of course 20 years of experience as a counselor.
