My comments on tutoring Creative Arts : GRAPHIC DESIGN. I graduated from the University of Houston in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Communications and have been designing ever since. I am familiar with PC and MAC platforms and am knowledgeable in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.

Individualized attention to the student's needs.
After college graduation, I worked for an advertising firm and soon branched out on my own doing freelance design work. As a freelance graphic designer I am responsible for the design concepts, execution and production. Projects include promotional/sales literature, newsletters, identity packages, trade show displays, annual reports and advertisements published in major/local newspaper and magazine publications. Also provide photo editing, manipulation and digital image repair services. Although graphic design today is predominately done on the computer, I haven't forgotten the basic fundamentals and feel it is important to understand where it all started.

I prefer that the student understands the purpose behind learning. In order to achieve my goal, I spend quality time in talking and developing an effective communication platform. I avoid doing rote learning. Therefore I make the worksheets and lesson plan as application based as I can. Some techniques and strategies are also employed on occasions.
