Lessons are individually designed for the pace and abilities of the student. An emphasis is on the fundamentals, but work on phrasing, theory and history as pertains to the music you are working on.

My comments on tutoring Flute : I have played flute for 19 years. I have taught students how to read music and playing the flute.

Teaching has always been my passion. From babysitting to leading summer camps, I have always enjoyed helping children learn. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish endorsements. I also have a Master's degree in Reading. I have been teaching elementary students for 8 years. I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students in the classroom. I love teaching young students and seeing them grow and succeed. My favorite part is when they have the "lightbulb" or "ah-ha" moment. In addition to teaching, I have been tutoring Pre-K through 8th grade students since 2010 in a variety of subject areas including math, reading, writing, and Spanish.
