My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I teach through imitation. I have had a few courses in college, and I have used numerous techniques with success in a sixth grade class room.

I always teach the material in a way that was easy for me to learn. I learn best through "hands on" approaches. I learned how to write by practicing and imitating other professionals. My assignments are creative, but I always strive for practical results and measurable improvement. I want students to notice their improvement, but also to realize that what they've learned is useable in the "real" world.

My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I've been writing since 2nd grade; I won a story contest in elementary school and was also published in the University of Cincinnati Medical School's World AIDS Day bulletin (2007). Writing is a beloved pastime of mine as well as an inherent strength.

Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! Creative writing, especially in English, is one of my favorite things to do. I see the world in terms of drama. I can teach you creative writing in a matter of minutes. I am very serious.

I teach exactly how I study. I discovered as an undergraduate student that a student has to have a plan of action when taking any course. You cannot just study without a plan and expect to score highly in a test. My teaching method has been tried and tested by me,so much so that I have consistently scored highly in most of my courses from undergraduate through graduate school and into the doctoral program. I will share my secret study methods with my students.
Patience, repetition, mini quizzes, and following a plan, pretty much summarize my teaching style. I also like to make my students comfortable, by being understanding, encouraging them to ask questions, and being very willing go over material that I have covered. I went to Princeton High School, and took American Sign Language throughout my high school career. I am currently working on my Masters in German Studies, as well as getting my teaching license. I have plans to go through the TEFL program to earn certification in teaching English as a Foreign language. I have been studying and teaching German/ESL since high school. I also lived abroad in Russia for sometime, and am continuing to learn Russian on my own. I can also teach the basics of the Russian language.
I like to speak, slowly and thoroughly, in the language I'm tutoring in. For example, I would conduct most lessons in German, but at a slow and comprehensive pace, so that students are able to "pick up" on the German language as if it were second nature. If there is an issue with miscommunication, I switch to English, and explain the concept again in German.
