I have assisted many students throughout my years as an undergraduate, graduate, and alumni to achieve thier goals in college. I was very determined to stay on the dean's list and get involved in many groups in college. I have also written many papers on various aspects of human biology.
I am flexible to include many teaching styles while working with students. I have found, however, that the best way I have learned is through experience/discovery. I prefer a hands on approach but I am patient with those that are not ready or do not prefer to learn that way. The best tutors/instructors can adjust thier teaching style to the style the student(s) prefer.

I hold both a B.S. and a Ph.D. in chemistry and over the past 14 years I have mentored, tutored, and instructed at the college level in chemistry and biology. I currently am employed as an assistant professor of chemistry at a small private liberal arts college where I have taught chemistry full-time the past two years. A Little Bit About Me...

As a Siena College graduate I developed a very hands on approach to active learning. Through classroom lecture and instruction I've completed the necessary coursework to complete my BS of biology. Due to my strong work ethic I've gained knowledge and skills in the physical sciences, as well as in other subject areas. During my college years I subbed as teacher at a public K-12 school. During that time I taught a variety of grade levels, and worked as a one-on-one aide.
I believe that in order to succeed in teaching and being an educator you must inspire those that you are teaching. A child who is excited to learn, will do much better. I feel a hands on approach is best, guiding the child to personal success.
