My first career was as a Registered Professional Nurse (NYS licensure) for 25 years. During those years, I kept up my interest in various fields of math, such as Abstract Algebra, Differential equations, and topology. I was especially interested in algebraically-capable computer math programs. I,eventually, went back to school for my Mathematics degree as part of a long-standing interest in and commitment to Mathematics. I presently teach students who are "at risk" in the 7th through 12th grades and have done so for the last 10-11 years at OHM-BOCES. I have tutored the NYS Math B course for 5 years as well as the current NYS Algebra I/II courses.

I have strong background on Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. I have been in the chemistry-related field for a long time, either from my working experience or my education path (undergrad to PhD). I used to be a teaching assistant during the time I pursued a PhD. degree at Michigan Technological University, Houghton, MI. As a postdoc associate at Syracuse University, I occasionally substitute taught the classes for my advisor. From Sept 2010, I taught Essential Chemistry at SUNYIT, Utica, NY as an adjunct faculty member.
