A Little Bit About Me...

I love helping children see the beauty in the world we live. That can be through solving a math problem that they struggled with or helping them learn from their mistakes. My goal is to help your child reach their full potential. I believe with the correct learning environment and focused attention a child will be able to overcome all obstacles.
During my study towards at BS in Chemistry I published a paper with a professor doing electrochemical research. I currently work at a small manufacturing company where I purchase raw materials, formulate products, supervise the manufacturing process and check the quality of the end product. Through my studies and work I have learned to apply analytical thinking to real world problems for results. During the past decade I have tutored in mathematics, science, philosophy, photography and literature.

I graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia. I received dual Bachelors' of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering. These have a advanced my understanding of physics, mathematics, and other sciences. In addition to lecture, I have completed several laboratory classes and attended seminars that bring formulas and concepts into a real world purpose. During my time in Missouri, I joined the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). NSBE held weekly tutoring sessions for afterschool programs with kids in grades 5-12.
Mathematically, I teach from a logical, or procedural approach. As students work their way up to Calculus and further, it is important to understand the process of problem-solving and not focus on the numbers alone.
