I am eager to get back to teaching. I love to work with children and I know it is a gift from above. I use many hands on techniques to help my students learn. I also observe my students to see what technique of teaching reaches them best. I use the method that is needed.

My major is currently declared as Studio Art with a concentration in woodworking. I initially began study as an engineer and completed the first year of classes before deciding to pursue Studio Art with an intention to attend architecture school down the road. Knowing students as people is extremely important when teaching as it allows for a teacher to choose methods that work best for the individual student (learning styles and multiple intelligences come in to play here). Students should feel both safe and comfortable in their learning environment so that they may reap the most benefits from education.
