My teaching style is customized to each student's needs. Because all students have different learning styles my instructions are patterned to maximize that student's particular style. After evaluating each student with a baseline test, goals and objectives based on the state's/district's curriculum are determined. My style is setting high but realistic expectations with rigorous assignments. I also try to have an overdose of encouragement and make the learning session fun time for students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy, generally speaking, helping people, but mainly help them pursue a future degree for themselves and a better life. I keep telling to my students that they should erase the "math fear" and that everything is easy if one understands it. Also, in case that they do not understand is my fought as a teacher and I am going to find a better way to explain the issue. In teaching, I try to make things easy for the students and make sure that they understood them. I believe that students should participate in the classroom.
I always wanted to become a math teacher, but in order to become one in a communist regime; you had to be a member in the Romanian Communist Party. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with a student until I see the "light bulb" come on. Because people are individuals, I realize that the same approach will not work with every student. In general, however, it is helpful to take something that the student already knows, and to work from there to those concepts that they do not know. This approach provides a solid reference point for memory and understanding. Patience is a key, and realizing that the length of time required to learn a concept is not an indication of intelligence. I strive to maintain the dignity of the student I tutor in my demeanor to them, treating them as my comrades, my fellow learners, as opposed to my subordinates.
