Learned sign-language hands on from my deaf neighbors.I speak fluent with letters and know most of basic words and actions.Basic nouns and verbs.I learned the full alphabet very fast,so my neighbors taught me how to say words without spelling them out.It was very challenging at first, but now flows like speaking English.

I have always loved to learn. In college, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Biology. However, I made it a point to minor in Chemistry and Linguistics and to certify in American Sign Language. I have always had the desire to achieve the highest goals I could set for myself. While taking on the classes mentioned above, I learned great organizational skills and drive. I helped students at the University whenever they needed it. I believe that children learn best from hands on experiences. It is up to me, the teacher to create these experiences, guide the child, and provide lots of postive reinforcement. There are many ways to learn and it is up to the teacher to help the student find which ways they learn best. There is also many different areas of intelligence and every person has a strength in one or more of these areas.
