A Little Bit About Me...

I've been teaching college and high school level mathematics for over 6 years. I have been tutoring math and sciences over a decade. I've worked as a Statistician private contractor for about a year for Hospira and Partners BHM, and I worked in math education software design for about a year as a content editor and tester.
I try to alleviate math anxiety, and introduce thoughtfulness as a way to solve problems. I teach how to understand math rather than just mimicking the behavior of the teacher. Math is about putting two and two together more than it is about learning how to add and subtract. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in good classroom management and organized lesson plans. I set appropriate boundaries and expect the students to follow the rules that are set before them. That being said I try to make the learning as fun as possible but organized. I also try to bring in anything that they are interested in to make them enjoy the subject they are learning.
