Algebra II is one of my top subjects! Algebra, at this point, is an absolute breeze for me. I have never received less than an A in every Algebra class I have taken, and I am quite capable of breaking down equations, theorems, and problems to their most basic form (I'll be able to show you how to decide what to manipulate in each problem, how to manipulate it, and the follow through) (more simply I'll be able to illustrate all the "how's," the "why's," and the "where's").

I graduated from Ronald Reagan High School with a 4.6 GPA in the second graduating class ('08), then went on the NC State University to study Engineering, where I jumped in between various Engineering programs for three years before simply deciding to take a break and truly figure out what I want to study. While this may deter several people from choosing me, I know that if you met me and/or any of my teachers from any grade level, they/I could certainly set the record straight, as I am quite a smart person, I have simply struggled with getting my life into an appropriate schedule. Algebra II is one of my top subjects!

My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.
To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. I'm also good in science.

Learning Math can be FUN!

With over 35 years experience teaching math, I have successfully taught students from third grade through college calculus. I have been tutoring at Forsyth Technical Community College since September 2008. I work on average, over the 5 years, 15 hours a week, but now working 21 hours a week since I am now out of school. I have done private tutoring for about 3 years now, either with people from met from school or from tutoring. I got a BS in both Mathematics and Computer Science in May of 2013. Math and computers have always been my strength, and when getting my degree, I would always help my friends in their classes.

Turning your weakness into your strength

I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. I have tutored people ranging from my peers to people three times my age, to as young as third graders. My motto has evolved into "Helping those who feel they can not be helped"
I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. Math is my life.

I have worked in the school system for 14 years. I have been a Teacher, Teacher Assistant, Substitute Teacher, a Lead Teacher in a Child Care Center, and a Director of a Center. I have worked with all ages. I have worked with babies all the way through high school. I have worked with general education and special education.
