Speak, make mistakes, and learn

I have spent 6 years in college and have a bachelors degree in Spanish from Stetson University. I have gone on two study abroad programs to Madrid, Spain and traveled all around the country. Spent a total of six months there. Through this immersion I have learned to blend in with the natives and aquired great language skills in the subject. One of the things I have learned which is very important is that you must not be afraid to make mistakes because it is the greatest way to learn a language. I am originally from Ukraine. Russian is my main language. I speak it and I write it fluently. I can teach the language in any preferable way- either with books, workbooks or online. It is not the most easiest language in the world, but with good teaching skills and a lot of practicing you can accomplish it in a year or so.

A Little Bit About Me...

Studying French and Russian Studies at Stetson allowed me gain more than a grasp on those two languages, but insight to the cultures, an appreciation for and ability to interpret literature and poetry, a deeper understanding of history, geography, and politics as well as a desire to share all of this with others.
I believe that children need to find a reason to have a goal of being educated. Coming from a small town and having such a global perspective, I love helping children see their place in this vast world and that they are an important global citizen. I try to show them through energetic discovery, that all this "boring stuff" leads to much more interesting and and fun stuff. Children need to know that they are important assets to us all and that they are more than capable of over acheiving whatever they set out to do.
