I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! In 2001 I graduated from Coastal Carolina University with two bachelor degrees, BS in Marine Science and BS in Environmental Science. Both of these degrees required extensive studies in both math and science. While in college I tutored fellow students in science, math and English.
