I believe that the best way for a student to learn is to explain the basics of which subject I am teaching, show a few examples, and then let them discover how to obtain the answers in their own way. It’s very satisfying when I see a student’s mental light click on and their eyes light up in understanding after they figure something out. Positive encouragement is very important too. I have a BA in Creative Writing, which I have put to use not only in my writing but I am a proofreader to several other beginning author’s stories.
