I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.

My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : Growing up with parents that are both computer programmers, I am familiar with the Microsoft Excel. I work with computers and technology everyday.

Teaching has always been my passion. From babysitting to leading summer camps, I have always enjoyed helping children learn. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish endorsements. I also have a Master's degree in Reading. I am currently writing my thesis in order to finish my Master’s degree in applied physics. My research is on experiment fluid dynamics where I am studying the affects of viscosity on glycerin. I have incredible math and science skills that I would love to teach others. I worked at a community college were I learned different methods of teaching or tutoring others.
I believe that by letting the student try to answer the problem by them self is the best way of learning. I will try to guide them down the right path, but even a wrong answer can teach you a lesson.
