My comments on tutoring Biology : BS Biology and held NC teaching certificate for 4 years prior to changing fields. Worked in college as a laboratory assistant for three years.

My teaching style varies to the student. I first try to asses prior knowledge and comprehension through general questions. Once this has been established, I use examples, visual aids, and verbal communication to better illustrate the topic at hand. Everyone has different learning styles. Therefore, it is vital to teach using the most appropriate style for the individual.

My comments on tutoring Biology : I am able to help with homework up to a high school level.

I have experience in all of the fields that are listed. Most of the skills I have acquired were either through learning them during my time at school or through doing personal research because they interested me. I have done some tutoring in the computer/i.t field as a side job. Chess has been one of my favorite things to learn. My experience with chess has been a regional tournament where I made it to the last-round of the semi-finals.

A Little Bit About Me...

Most recently, I served as faculty for a study-abroad program in Tanzania for Earlham College. In addition to implementing all programmatic activities, I designed and taught a rigorous conservation course. Quality education has always been very important to me. Beginning in high school I volunteered as an educator for elementary children through the "Just Say No (to drugs and peer pressure)" program.
