A Little Bit About Me...

I have previously had three years of experience tutoring private school students in New York State. I worked with students first grade students all the way up through seventh grade students in various subject areas. I was available three nights a week to help students improve homework skills and study skills in all subject areas. I facilitate learning best when I discover how students process information, for I am able to present information in uniquely meaningful ways. Therefore, I encourage discussions and ask questions regularly, and change teaching strategies promptly as needed. Second, I believe that students learn best from actively engaging the material. As a tutor at Eastern University I came to the realization that not all students learned in the same way. I have a different teaching style as compared to the teachers putting things into real life examples, or even making things hands on so my students understand better.
