My teaching style is based on my belief that my purpose is that the student learn the material. If that means backtracking and presenting the material in a different manner or using more examples then that is what I will do. Especially in math and accounting, the building blocks must be solid in order to advance so I do concentrate on each step being strong.
My parents were both educators and my daughter is a professor, so I can say in all honesty that education has been a most important aspect of my life. I have been very successful as a college instructor and a tax school teacher. I do not have any tutoring experience but with my love of education and my own work ethic I know I can be instrumental in a students academic success.

I enjoy tutoring or showing someone how to solve a Math problem but, I know some will understand quickly than others. I have great patience working with children and helping them understand the true concepts to solving a problem. My unique teaching style is to get the children to think about Math in there everyday life and compare it to something they are familiar with. I will not stop until I feel that they have established a better understanding for the subject.
During my years at Alabama State University, I helped numerous of my colleagues with all levels of Math. Even though I earned my degree in Accounting, I have always been excellent in all Math classes.
