My comments on tutoring Poetry : Whether free verse, or ABAB or ABBA, i am a poet Wiz. I Started out writing lyrics for my band, and that grew into free verse, discovering new metaphors and similes, for each given situation

I have always been a hands on learner, so that is mostly the way i portray my lessons, by doing, instead of readin. However i also see the need in having to sit down and Get to work, because some thing are better learned on paper

I have worked with teenagers, young adults and older students returning to college. I work especially well with students who have a lack of confidence about their academic or intellectual abilities. May students have told me years after taking my courses that they would not have made it to graduation without my help. College Undergrad Looking to Tutor English Students

Not only was English my favorite subject as well as the one I was most proficient in in high school, it eventually became my major in college. I majored in Journalism at The University of New Hampshire, and while I have not yet received my Bachelor's of Arts from the institution I am a mere handful of credits away from earning it (9, to be exact), an accomplishment I am attempting to achieve by transferring credits over from The Community College of Rhode Island. While attending UNH, I wrote for the school's newspaper, The New Hampshire, edited my fellow writer's work, and eventually went on to intern and temporarily work for our local Valley Breeze.

I help students go through their books and synthesize material and help students write papers and come up with proper conclusions and introductions to his or her paper.
I tutored in my last semester of college at Westfield State University. I have taken 122 credits in psychology. My psychology G.P.A. average is 3.74 and my overall average is 3.551. With a little work, you will get there!

I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.
Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
