I worked for US Dept. of Agriculture as a methods development chemist which required a knowledge of chemistry, physics, math and statistics as well as high level computer skills. I have taught classes for over 15 years at Athens Area Technical College, University of Georgia Continuint Education Program and as owner and lead trainer for Athens Computer Training, Inc.
I have taught classes for students ranging from high school to adult with course material from the very basic to highly advnced concepts. I enjoy seeing students make progress, not only in academics, but also in learning life lessons from their study. I believe this is the real vocation of a teacher. Any metods can be used to teach such as TV documentaries, radio, activities and even movies with specific lessons about life. Information is only as good as what it is used for. I try to link the subjects with current events and how lack of knowledge on specific subjects can cost them either financially or impact their health and well being.
