I've done some tutoring both officially and unofficially during the years, editing and proofreading friends' papers (for many of whom English was not a first language), as well as tutoring Russian. My educational experience, however, is vast. I completed the IB program in high school (with SL French, Math Studies and Biology and HL English, History and Psychology), majored in Psychology, History and Russian Studies at CU, and obtained a double Master's in Russian, Central and East European Studies at the University of Glasgow and European Studies at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. My comments on tutoring Government : I have the equivalent of a BA Degree in Political Science and I am very knowledgeable of the American political processes.

Denver Summer Scholars - Lead computer tutor - Taught 3 classes a day with 15 students in each class. I used computer software to tutor students in math and language arts. My students were ESL at Risk students. Tree of Knowledge - I tutored 15 students during the 2011 to 2012 school year in Language Arts and Math. My students increase their pre tutoring scores by a minimum of 25%. My students included at risk and special ed students in first to fifth grade. This was one on one tutoring. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style starts with the class. I follow manuals as far as they can take me, but I like to get a feel for the class, learn there interests and disinterests and use those as teaching tools. My philosophy is: you learn a second language to help you advance in life and in the global economy. I think most students understand that, and if they don't I like to take the time to let them know the importance of a second language in this current global spectrum. I use music, clothes, food and shopping as key themes as well as some colloquial terms, nothing graphic, to lighten the mood every once in a while.
