I have always wanted to teach! So any opportunity I got in high school I took it! I was enrolled in the teaching academy all through high school. Through this academy I got to intern/teach many different grade levels. I started with a kindergarten class and then moved up to 6th grade P.E. and Science, then I moved to 3rd grade. I was also hired by the school district to be an AVID tutor for 7th and 8th graders. I use a very data-driven teaching style. I like to start by gathering data from parents or teachers to determine what is conceived as the child's biggest hurdles. Then, I will give the child a short assessment based on these identified skills and use what they show me to determine my instruction.
