Multi-subject tutoring: maths, Chinese, English

I've had previous experience tutoring, mainly working with kids aged from 7 to 15. I used to be a part-time teacher in an English as a second language institute for a year. Conducting engaging and informative lessons is my passion, and I love to see people improve after they take my class. I have a solid background in maths, and I can also tutor elementary physics and chemistry. Math is important to everyone...so is music.

I find that mathematics instruction is greatly improved by visual aid. I found that my most effective teaching tools were the white board and marker rather than the computer or calculator (although those are useful as well). I have also been able to adapt my teaching style to the learning styles of my students, whether they enjoy learning math or not. As for the saxophone, I believe that throughout a musicians instruction, a good balance between fundamentals such as scales and technical exercises, and repertoire such as solos and duets, is very important.
