My work with elementary aged children has spanned a decade and included a highly diverse population of students. Because of this diversity among my students, I have a deep appreciation for every child's uniqueness. I excel at identifying each individual child's needs and developing a plan of instruction that addresses those needs while empowering each student and developing her or his confidence as a learner.
I have over ten years of experience in elementary education as both a classroom teacher and administrator of enrichment programs. I enjoy teaching children, students of all ages and those willing to learn. As a high school student, I was involved in inner city teaching and I helped hartford students in their studies after their school. I appreciate higher education and I truly understand what it takes to teach as I myself teach my own children with their homework from their own schools after they come home.
