My oldest is a national merit scholar finalist, and my youngest son is captain of his high school math team. Math is fun, like a puzzle-once the student sees this fact, they begin having more fun and less fear of the subject.
I am a patient teacher, and I use many different ways of communication. I try to find the style of learning best suited to my pupil. Removing the fear of the subject seems to be the most important part. This week I am graduating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy NY with a degree in computer and systems engineering.
