Computer Tech/Geek looking to teach.

One on one is preferable. Hands-on training with my personal laptop or student's personal computer. No set curriculum since everyone is at a different stage in their computer experience. I will answer questions as they are presented. No lecturing.

My comments on tutoring Microsoft PowerPoint : I have taken classes regarding PowerPoint and I know this program very well.

I was a tutor in High School to the AVID students, I also volunteer tutored while attending junior college. I have experience helping mostly high school students but I feel comfortable and I am experienced enough to help middle school and elementary school children. I was also a nanny for close to 2 years and during that time, I tutored a teen who has Autism in all school subjects and was successful in helping her raise her grades and be able to study independently.
I am very hands on. I prefer to assess my students needs and then approach the subject to the area they specifically need help in. I have a lot of patience and am not afraid to spend a lot of time working on one or two things. If I can find a way, I like to make tutoring of studying a game or find easy ways to help my student(s) remember things better. Fun learning in my opinion, is the best way to learn.

I have spent 2 years assisting elementary school teachers, grades kindergarten/1st/2nd. I was mainly involved in learning activities which consisted of reading, writing, spelling, and object identification. I was also involved in assisting the kids in group activities such as arts and crafts and outside activities. I've also graded students classwork and homework, and participated in story time, in which I read a variety of books to kids while providing mental stimulation as well as verbal entertainment.
My teaching style is patient because I was working with younger kids, providing a demonstration of what I wanted then to do before asking them to do it, if it involves writing or any other type of physical activity. I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept.
