My diverse academic career has provided me with a greater knowledge and understanding of Mathematics than many of my peers. I have taken numerous courses in Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Exercise Science since I hold a B.S. in both Mathematics and Exercise Science. These classes have prepared me to teach a variety of complex topics.I have organized and taught many different classes in Mathematics and other subjects during my experiences with the Philadelphia Urban Seminar, and vacation bible schools. I believe that everyone is teachable, if the student has the desire and the teacher has the commitment. I tend to be a patient teacher, with high standards. I actively question the student, which allows me to challenge the student in my presence, where I am able to guide him/her. While I have predominantly tutored college students, I have also taught adults and children. My sister-in-law is probably my biggest supporter, since she has watched me teach my nephews (now 9 and 10) an array of subjects over the years. I worked at a local high school for five years teaching seventh grade science and senior high general science. For the last six years I have worked for a head start program.
