A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching in 1989. Not only I have tutored students on different grade levels, but also worked as a classroom teacher in grades Pre-k through High School. I have taught integrated math and algebra I & II. All of my students gave me a positive feedback. They understood the topic well and was able to pass assigned tests. I am more than capable of helping any student succeed. Teaching is my career and hobbie.
I use several teaching styles. Whatever works for that particular student. Some students are visual. They need to see what you are talking about. Others are good listeners; they can listen and learn. Some students need to do. All students need practice and I try to provide them with plenty of practice to ensure that they have mastered the topic.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an graduate of Elizabeth City State University, I have done exceptionally well. I learned so much through tutoring other students. When I tutored in the Business Department for Accounting and Finance classes, I gave some students hope, and some students even looked up to me. That they made me feel great and it really made me enjoy what I did because I helped a lot of the students turn the weaknesses into strengths.
I feel as though every child can achieve the impossible, and with the help of someone giving them the attention that they deserve and need, they will feel better about themselves as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I am the Math Department Chair at Tarboro High School and have held this position for five years. I also teach Algebra 2, Algebra 2 Honors, Pre-Calculus, and Advanced Functions and Modeling. I have taught at Tarboro High School for ten years and prior to that, I had a successful business career as a Bond Analyst. I have a B. S. Degree in Mathematics and I am National Board Certified in Secondary Mathematics. I consistently have the highest EOC scores in my district and school with my first semester EOC scores at 93%. SAS EVASS data indicates that my A2 scores are significantly higher than the state average and this is remarkable because I teach in a rural, poverty school.
