Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I feel that young students learn best when they can physically learn, such as through blocks/puzzles/interactive learning devices and other similar approaches. I try to let the student use their hands as much as I can to aid in their learning process. For older students such as my high school students or their college counterparts I use more direct audial teaching and visual teaching styles. I have been tutoring for the past five years. I have tutored a large variety of students including high school, middle school, and elementary school students. The way how I run my classes are first we do a warm up on the subject that I will be teaching and then I will teach the student a lesson. After teaching the student I will give them practice and let them answer any questions.
