I was a volunteer GED math and science teacher at a local community center for 2 years before I moved away for college. I also took the GED myself and was almost entirely self-taught before college. Adult learners have a special place in my heart. I was not offered very many educational opportunities in my youth, but in 2016 I chose to try my hand at being an autodidact (a self-taught person).
