I'm a visual learner, but I incorporate several different teaching styles to make course material meaningful to the students I tutor. I've been tutoring at a college level for over two and a half years. I aim to take the more complex material and make it super easy to comprehend. Students have very stressful lives on their own; learning needs to be made fun and engaging. I attempt to do just that. Personally, I struggled with math in high school, so I came up with fun, easy ways to remember what to do. Learning is a process, like any other. The teaching style that brings the best success I've found is centered on two points. First of all, it is based on listening, which means getting the student to talk. Eventually, with guidance, I aim to get them the ability to talk through and solve any problem. The second major technique I like to use is analogies. Even complicated subjects can be simplified into their core components which are easy to understand if taught as an analogy to something more familiar in daily life.
