My comments on tutoring Hebrew : Note: this is BIBLICAL or Classical Hebrew. I studied Hebrew and Greek at a college of religion and won Hebrew student of the year. I would be glad to guide a beginning Hebrew student though the tricky annals of this difficult language.

I believe in adapting the teaching style to suit the student's learning style. Teaching English in China, I adopted a practical stance, teaching useful words and grammar and reinforced their reading lessons. The student's learning goals and reason for seeking tutoring should dictate the teaching style, however.
I spent the last year teaching English in China. I have experience teaching ESOL, and am experienced dealing learners of English of a second language. I studied Chinese during my stint there and am willing and able to tutor beginning students of the Chinese language who want to develop functional skills in Mandarin for career or personal development. A Little Bit About Me...

With my numerous experiences in education, I think I could be a great asset in helping students become more knowledgeable. I have worked as a Tutor, Assistant Teacher, and did a short placement as an Interim Teacher. I can easily adjust to changing environments that will best suit the student’s potential. I was a Tutor in an after school program, and was an Assistant Teacher in a Special Education classroom. I finished an Interim Teaching placement in a middle school A.P. English classroom.
I have a somewhat relaxed teaching style that does not compromise the distinction or respect between student and teacher. This teaching style results in a classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable responding to my questions and asking for further clarification about complex topics. Many students have told me that my teaching style is refreshing and they feel comfortable in class.
