A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught for 13 years in the subjects of Math and Special Education. I have taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Basic Math, and Special Education math. I have worked with a variety of students including learning disabilities, at-risk, struggling in math, ADHD, Autistic, Hearing Impaired, and many others. As a student at the University of Detroit Mercy, I worked as a tutor for two years. I helped other students struggling in mathematics and biology classes. Also, my senior year in college I worked as a Teaching Assistant for a Microbiolgy lab. In addition, I did student teaching for a Catholic Middle School.
Many people have different teaching skills and techniques. I do not believe any technique to educate a child is better than any other technique. Each child learns differently. Understanding the fact that children learn differently is crucial. The teacher must be able to adapt to the child's learning style. I believe I have the ability to use an array of teaching styles to help children. I would enjoy the opportunity to help children learn.

I have done Bachelors in Science which has physics as major and chemistry and math as allied from the University of India. Also I have done Masters in Physics which includes electricity,magnetism,electronics,nuclear physics as the subjects.Also I have done the post graduate diploma in computers for about one year. So totally 7 to 8 years of college experience with the subject knowledge of math,physics,chemistry and computers.
