A Little Bit About Me...

I feel I learn as much as I teach. I value every student that I have the opportunity to work with. I have learned some students just need to overcoming their dislike of a subject. For others, a key subject building block had been built properly (as in Math) and as a result the rest of the information was sitting unstable in their minds. Finding where the support is needed and then working to solidify the skill then leads to greater confidence and greater academic achievement, Most students I work with appreciate that I am fair but firm. I have worked as a student teaching assistant in private Ivy league boarding schools and I have taught in inner city urban setting. I have also had to the opportunity to take graduate chemistry courses both for credit and audit at University of California-San Diego, and San Diego State University and Tennessee State University.
